Travelling by bus in Cyprus
There are extensive and affordable bus services and routes throughout Cyprus. The country’s main providers are Inter City Buses and Nicosia Buses, connecting major cities and resort destinations with daily departures except on Sundays and public holidays. Routes to the more rural destinations operate at a much more limited capacity. Buses provide an easy, safe and cheap method of airport transfer also.

Taxis are generally safe in Cyprus and most use metres so rest assured you are receiving a fair fare. Some drivers, especially in Turkish Cyprus, will offer a flat rate. By all means haggle, but make sure you agree on the price before accepting the ride. Sharing taxis to destinations is a common practice in Cyprus and a good way to extend your holiday cash.
